I know, I know, more gore. But isn't it lovely? In all seriousness, though, I have really been enjoying this whole series. I just reread Nietzsche's The Birth of Tragedy, in which he discusses the two innate forms of art and expression, the Apollonian and the Dionysian. I didn't know this as much when I started these drawings, but if you really want to understand my unconscious attitudes towards Art and Civilization, then read more Nietzsche. Next, I hope to apply these ideas towards architecture, though I haven't yet worked out the details.
In other news, I'll be moving back to NC for a stent and then, with the best of luck, to NYC. So I'll maybe have one or two more posts while I'm in the Bay, but everything you'll see afterwards will, like myself, have been born on the east coast. Here's to Change.
